2012 or bust!

Well hello 2012. Ahhh, an even numbered year...how I love you already. I've been pondering, debating, hinting/wanting to start a blog. But every time I got around to it, my bag full of excuses seemed to follow. The perfectionist-control-freak in me is screaming "make it stop!" because this is new and I don't have it all figured out yet...and that freaks me out! On the other hand the teacher in me is saying, "it's ok, do your best, learn as you go, practice makes permanent..." yada yada yada. So, here I am. And yes, I do talk to those voices in my head... often.

Goals I hope to accomplish with this little deelight...(oh, a lot of puns will be intended on here)
1. sharing some of my kitchen successes and [[failures]]
2. reflecting on the little quirks that make this life so dang funny
3. and, drum roll please...most importantly tapping into my creative side [that sometimes feels stifled and pushed to the side as a ~~public~~ ~~educator~~]

Things you should know...yeah, you!
I am a corny, kitschy, quote-a-holic, who can't sit still until the house is tidy, and always makes a pouty face when I dance,kinda girl.

I call'em as I see'em.
I shoot from the hip and aim high,
but that doesn't mean I'm afraid of falling flat on my face.
